Production engineer required for a leading manufacturer who are one of the best in their industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a production engineer to join a people focused company who are willing to develop their employees via fantastic training and progression opportunities.
This role would suit production engineers from light to medium manufacturing backgrounds such as offshore, oil and gas, rail and mining or similar. The role is 100% mechanical so candidates will need a basic understanding of fabrication, welding and machining.
This role is largely office based as the successful candidate will spend 70% of their time introducing new products and will be involved in the whole process of the product lifecycle. This will involve working closely with customers and suppliers to ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible.
The other 30% of the time will be spent developing existing processes and giving guidance to the manufacturing staff on the product you are working on.
The role will also involve an element in design as you will be expected to both read engineering drawings and get involved in the design of fixtures as required. Experience with CAD is NOT essential as the company can provide CAD training.
